WELCOME to our website
and our ranch.
SunBreaks Ranch is
located in central Illinois just outside the state capitol of Springfield.
We are approximately 1-1/2 hours drive from St. Louis and about 3 hours
drive from Chicago. We have been breeding and showing AMHA miniatures
horses since 2002.
The goal of our
breeding program is to continually strive for improved refinement, balance,
and movement. We strive for horses that win in halter and also have
movement. Horses that are refined but also sound. Horses with excellent
conformation. Horses with beautiful faces and elegant necks. Horses that
don’t require a “doctored” picture to catch your eye. |

Our breeding program
has evolved from the “get” and “grand-get” of four primary miniature horse
stallions. First, is the incredible Orion Light Vant Huttenest and the
exceptional horses from the Brewer Ranch. Second, is Prince Tennessee
Monashee and the stunning beauty and movement he produced at Celebration
Ranch. Third, is Gold Melody Boy and the awesome influence his get have had
on the industry. Fourth, is Sierra Dawn Uno De Mayo who is still producing
influential offspring.
We have been fortunate
to have had many beautiful foals in our first five years. SunBreaks horses
have won Western Regional Titles and World Top Ten Championships in each of
the last four years. In 2006 we had our first World Reserve Champion. In
2007 our yearling stallion – Apollo won Multiple Supremes and a World Top
Ten Championship. |

We have also been
fortunate to have placed SunBreaks horses in England, Germany, California,
Washington, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and Michigan. All of these miniature
horse enthusiasts have also become good friends.
